• Kamala Khan is a teenager who is also an Inhuman with shapeshifting abilities, and lives a secret life in Jersey City, New Jersey as the superheroine Ms. Marvel. She idolizes Captain Marvel and clashes with her mother, who believes her interest in superheroes is time-wasting. Kamala and her best friend Doreen Green; a fellow Inhuman known as Squirrel Girl, stop a thief in the park who steals from a food vendor. The thief is Dante Pertuz, who can control and manipulate fire. The girls also meet Victor Kohl, who is tracking Dante and tells them of how he is working to protect Inhumans from their own destructive powers, however, Victor and Dante both flee the scene. Kamala and Doreen are approached by S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Quake and Patriot, who have also been tracking violent incidents involving Inhumans. The two friends decide to band together to find Victor and Dante and prove that Inhumans should be seen as heroes and not threats.

• This has a good story, good characters, an actual lesson, and was an enjoyable watch. Yes parts of it jumped the shark a bit; welcome to the realm of super-heroes. That tends to happen a lot in this field.
• I am most certainly biased, coming from the excellent Ms Marvel and Squirrel Girl comics. But I found an interesting movie about passioned heroes wanting to do their best. Sometimes I don’t need more than that. With all the universe ending drama llamas going on, sometimes
• I just want to see a Squirrel, a Girl and a Squirrel girl do some awesome heroics and inspire a team of new heroes.
•  I watched this film recently on Disney XD and from what I’ve seen, it was quite underwhelming. The story, tone, and pacing weren’t too bad, the show kind of looks fine, and the overall feel is somewhat refreshing. The problem The characters are a bit dull and leave little impact and the story of a young team fighting for justice just feels rehashed and done before.
• Fantastic fun film, with a lot of lesser known but fan favourite characters, all of whom are portrayed really well here, the story is interesting and the characters all work, but the moral message of “be yourself” is not exactly subtle, and the animation isn’t anything spectacular. That being said, I’m so SO glad to see Squirrel Girl, and a certain 4 legged mushface on screen! Please make this a series!
